430 HYDROGUARD MASTER MIXING VALVES

• Powerful liquid filled thermostatic motor senses and adjusts the outlet water temperature.
• Dirt and lime resistant poppet and seat design.
• Heavy-duty combination strainer checkstops included with valve.
• Should supply line or thermostatic motor fail, the valve shuts down to minimum flow.
• Self-aligning bronze trim and seats prevent binding.
• Tamper-resistant temperature adjustment control.
• Typical applications include shower rooms and group showers, domestic water for small buildings, tempered water for light industrial processes.
  
  

Valve Selection

Attention must always be paid to selecting the proper valve to supply the requirements of the system. Oversizing should be avoided by examining the capacity of the components to be served. (see the following sections on sizing and installation.) For larger capacity requirements, two or more Hydroguards can be used in the same system. For smaller capacity applications the type 427 and 428 Hydroguards (268kb and requires Adobe Reader) can be used as master mixers.

Functions

The 430 Hydroguards thermostatically blends hot and cold water to desired temperatures, compensates for both temperature and pressure changes in the supply lines and protects against water supply failure.
